Connecting the Dots: Linking Broadband Adoption to Job Creation and Job Competitiveness
On Wednesday, May 2nd the Policy Institute will co-host with Time Warner Cable’s Research Program a discussion of its recently released report, Connecting the Dots: Linking Broadband Adoption to Job Creation and Job Competitiveness. The study found that, while broadband access gap between African Americans and white Americans has started to narrow, African Americans are still underrepresented in broadband jobs and businesses.
Marc Morial will be joined by Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski, former FCC Chairman Michael Powell, Central Florida Urban League President Alllie Braswell and other representatives from Time Warner and the FCC to explore how private enterprise, community organizations and governments can work together to also close the broadband jobs gap.
